Hours: 37.5 (Mon-Fri)/ flexible working available
Rate: £200- £320 per day via Umbrella (dependant on experience)

Venn Group’s HR recruitment team are recruiting an interim work planner on behalf an NHS trust based in the South-West. This role is to provide expert guidance and lead daily workforce planning work streams, ensuring that key milestones are met on workforce projects. As an expert advisor, you will be working closely with the Senior Managers and Clinicians to help support and monitor workforce development projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for workforce projects, managing associated project plans and resources
- Promote and develop a better understanding of workforce planning and transformation across the Trust and introduce workforce planning tools and resources available to help clinical staff and managers plan their workforce
- Consider different workforce solutions according to workforce planning models, clinical demands and workforce supply
- Evaluate the options with managers and clinicians and present recommendations
- Write reports for relevant operational and strategic committees (including Trust Board) as required in order to identify current position of services and progression of projects/strategies
- Support development of high quality analysis and insights which support delivery of the Retention Programme and Workforce Priorities
- Manipulate and analyse workforce plans and data to inform strategic workforce decision making
- Produce high quality graphs, charts, and diagrams to share workforce data on key workforce issues related to retention for use in reports and presentations
- Review, test and assess data and workforce models from a range of organisations for accuracy and consistency
- Undertake comparisons taking account of benchmark data highlighting assumptions and issues associated with using benchmarking data
Essential Skills:
- CIPD Level 7 (or qualified by experience)
- Substantial workforce planning experience gained in the NHS
- Understanding of KPIs and the importance of them in relation to achieving workforce targets
- Previous experience in similar level role is desirable
