Application Support Specialist

A leading public sector organisation in West Yorkshire have approached Venn Group to recruit for an experienced Application Support Specialist  

Are you an experienced Microsoft Dynamics CRM Support Specialist? Do you have experience of working in a second or third line support role on an enterprise wide service?

Key aspects of the roles include:

  • Providing second/third line software application support for designated services working with end users to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Managing and resolving support queries received from first line IT and Helpdesks
  • Liaising with a range of IT teams responsible for providing support to other systems to ensure the full operation of the service platform and software components
  • Liaising with suppliers and their support teams to ensure resolution of queries and issues
  • Developing a deep understanding of the systems applications, workflow, processes, integrations and hardware used to deliver the service
  • Responsibility for system and application setup, configuration and integration
  • Responsibility for managing user roles and permissions, user quotas, invoke content retention policies and provide analytics and MI  
  • Reporting delivery issues, risks and variances to appropriate managers and working across the IT teams to minimise or mitigate these

Core skills required include:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 2011/2013 in a second/third line support role
  • Worked around the development of high volume, enterprise wide services and systems
  • Understanding of authorisations management and ongoing administration
  • Experience of fault finding and troubleshooting in a technical environment; including experience of finding innovative solutions to problems
  • A high level of analytical skills, including the ability to produce relevant management information as required
  • Able to analyse situations and problems and to be able to propose solutions and develop reasoned courses of action quickly and in a logical manner
  • A strong commitment to service excellence and customer care

Location:            West Yorkshire
Rate:                     32k – 38k per annum
Duration:            12 Months Fixed Term
