Arts Trusts and Foundations Manager
Location: London
Length: 6 months potentially ongoing
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

A Central Government organisation is seeking an Arts Trusts and Foundations Manager to generate trust and foundation opportunities for an agreed portfolio of Arts projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across multiple art forms and multi-location teams in the UK and abroad to develop funding bids, developing similar, high quality partnerships with Trusts and Foundations
  • Act as a co-ordinating lead and liaison and takes an active role in the account management of all partners, ensuring the partnerships are delivered to the highest standards
  • Undertake prospect research on trusts and foundations in the UK supporting the following art forms and priority areas: visual arts, music, music education, arts for social change, architecture, design, skills, and fellowships
  • Proactively build and maintain a sound working knowledge of major developments in the UK Arts T&F market to develop intelligence that can be fed into future planning and decision making for Arts programmes
  • Submit bids valued between £25,000 - £200,000 with a preference for bids over £75,000 in value
  • Responsible for creation and management of Sales Orders to process grants and payments, managing invoicing and payments for short term contractors if applicable


  • A specific knowledge of one or more of the following areas: music, visual arts, design, arts for social change, arts education
  • A proven track record of meeting income targets
  • Experience of working in a charity fundraising team or within a UK Trust or Foundation, preferably within an arts environment
  • Strong ability to monitor and control an agreed budget within a defined area, producing reports and analyses and contributing to planning
  • Knowledge and understanding of the arts sector and work within a large and complex organisation
