Job Description

A position has arisen for an Assistant Financial Planning Analyst within an organisation based in Keynsham. This is a fixed term contract for 7 months, paying up to £24,000 PA pro-rated with a bonus upon completion of the contract.

Your duties will include:

  • Working closely with the Financial Planning Analyst and team to assist the process and deliver the budget to the Group
  • Assisting with the Group budget process
  • Populating, building and refreshing the models
  • Ensuring models reconcile to reported group actuals and updating during the process as new actuals are delivered
  • To challenge the process and continually look for ways to improve the models, links and budget templates
  • Work with the Financial Planning Analyst to upload budgets into the finance system

    Essential Criteria:

  • Currently studying AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Strong Excel skills – including V&H Lookups, sumifs, indirect formula, PIVOT tables
  • Previously worked within a finance department
  • Deadline focussed and willing to put in the effort required to ensure they are meet

    Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with Open Accounts system
  • Analytical experience and the ability to turn financial data into useful information
  • Experience in budgeting and building complex Excel models
