Interim Complex Needs Alcohol Worker Immediately Required via Venn Group
The Contract Recruitment Specialists

A prestigious Support provider in Avon requires an interim Complex Needs Alcohol Worker to join their team on a temporary basis.

Location: Avon
Duration: 1 months+
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Mon - Fri


  • Deliver one to one sessions and support to clients with complex needs and alcohol dependencies
  • Complete assessments, risk assessments and alcohol audits with in satellite locations such as GP surgeries
  • Establish and liaise with new contacts and external links such as medical services and the community Mental Health teams,  in order to promote the service
  • Signpost and refer clients onto external support and treatments
  • Support the development of the Alcohol detox pathway to ensure clients can access medically assisted detox’s in a timely manner
  • Support service users to access regular health checks, including BBV and tuberculosis screening
  • Record all documentation and case-notes to a high standard and within required time frames
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the effects of alcohol, it’s impact and be able to engage with clients to educate them of this, and to also demonstrate excellent knowledge of treatment options available to them.

Essential Skills:

  • A current enhanced DBS, within 12 months
  • Experience of working within the area of substance misuse in particular alcohol treatment
  • Excellent level of IT literacy in Word, Excel and databases

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of working within the field of mental health and mental health settings
  • Excellent level of IT literacy in Word, Excel and databases
