A Supported Living organisation in North Somerset for full time Domestic Violence Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.

Duration: Permanent

Hours: 37.5

           

Job Responsibilities:                                                                          

  • Responsible for managing an integrated staff team to deliver high quality accommodation, support and advice to domestic violence victims and their children

  • Ensure victims are able to access support services including IDVA, floating Support, and children’s services

  • Collaborate with other managers to maximise achievement of the teams and wider organisational objectives and standards

  • Supervise the effective office management, client file systems and service performance

  • Ensure the team’s work with clients is recovery focused to enable clients to maximise their independence, wellbeing and sustain their tenancies

  • Ensure risk assessments (including DASH), safety plans and risk management plans are carried out to a high standard and are managed appropriately and the service is represented at the MARAC

  • Respond to emergency and crisis situations by providing telephone and 1-1 support, advice, signposting and other direct interventions as necessary

  • To liaise effectively and collaboratively with partner agencies to respond to survivors and children in crisis and at risk, maximising safety and achieve positive outcomes

  • Help clients through legal processes and attend appointments with them

  • Take overall responsibility for the effective housing management of the safe houses including health and safety compliance, maintenance, planning renewals and replacements to maintain the quality and comfort of the houses

 

Essential job requirements:

  • A current enhanced DBS

  • Experience of working with and supporting victims of domestic violence

  • A background within supported housing management

  • Knowledge of MS Office and Excel

  • A driver with access to their own car

 

Desirable job requirements:

  • Experience of managing and supervising a team

  • Knowledge of domestic violence support

  • Strong knowledge of housing support

  • Knowledge surrounding rights of women and MARAC
