Job Description

 

Job Title:         Finance/Administration Assistant  

Location:         Liverpool

Duration:         Temp - Perm

Hours:             21hrs per week      

Salary:             £9.77 per hour inc hol pay

Duties:

Finance

  • To manage petty cash, banking, purchase ledger, invoicing, and the recording of income and expenditure to support the finance operation of the Charity, in accordance with polices
  • To maintain the financial software system Xero
  • Support the VAT returns process
  • Ensure Gift Aid is processed correctly
  • Manage internet, cheque and credit card payments
  • To carry out reconciliations and spot checks as required
  • To support the Community Leader in the preparation of weekly Companion allowances and Finances: for example, holiday and resettlement allowances, loans, repayments and housing benefit records
  • To enter financial data onto monitoring spreadsheets to enable progress to budget to be monitored

Administration

  • To carry out general administration to support the management of the Community and social enterprises including general office duties, note taking, responding to donors and supporters etc.
  • To deal with phone calls to support the Community and social enterprise activities
  • To manage the stock and ordering of supplies for the Community and Social Enterprises
  • To assist with the production and presentation of financial information to the Board, sub groups and management team.
  • Manage the administration of grant funded projects that require evaluation and monitoring
  • To maintain & support the development of databases
  • To carry out inspections of the Community premises to ensure compliance to health and safety, food safety and other relevant legislation
