Job Description

Finance Systems Accountant
Location: Central London
Job type: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

A professional membership body is looking to appoint a Finance Systems Accountant to assist in the upgrade in of their new CRM system.

Key responsibilities will include:
Pre go-Live

  • Data Cleansing of current CRM
  • Confirming balances to be transferred to new CRM
  • Assist in administration of Credit Control process
  • Develop written processes and procedures for new CRM (in conjunction with ICT project team)
  • Finance lead on new CRM testing
  • Undertake specific project work and carry out other tasks as required

Post Go-Live

  • Ensure all balances transferred successfully into new CRM
  • Ensure seamless integration of CRM with accounting software


  • Work with ICT Project team to ensure finance team are fully trained on the new CRM prior to go-live
  • Responsible for training non-finance staff in finance aspects of CRM
  • Ensure that training manuals are complete and fit for purpose (in conjunction with ICT Project Team)
  • Provide ad-hoc training on new CRM as required

Other Duties:

  • Assist in re-design of management reports
  • Assist in selection and implementation of new accounting software if required
  • Other duties as required

Essential requirements:

  • Experience of system implementations
  • Knowledge of accounting modules of CRM databases
  • High level of proficiency in data mapping
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Excellent database skills
  • Excellent time management and project planning skills
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Ability to carry out complex reconciliations, investigate and resolve differences arising
  • Experienced in working with large volumes of data
  • Experience of working directly with and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to solve problems/resolve complaints
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
