The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Stack .NET Web Developer to join a small but growing ecommerce department responsible for web developments. The team has developed a robust EPiServer CMS and Commerce platform and are building on this to deliver several exciting industry leading websites for our key businesses.


As a Full Stack Developer you will be expected to be self-sufficient in the Microsoft stack, utilising your proficient skills in ASP.NET MVC, Web API, C#, MS SQL, IIS, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and front end frameworks including jQuery. You will translate business requirements into fully functional, production ready enterprise web applications. You will take direction from the Lead Developer but will be expected and trusted to manage and test your own work efficiently. We are looking for a responsible and dedicated team player with high attention to detail and a thirst to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and build back-end C# .NET solutions to interrogate, manipulate and render data for web applications and services to consume
- Design and implement specific CMS/Commerce page types and the functionality needed to drive the front end displays
- Design and implement data storage solutions, utilising MS SQL
- Participate in discussions with clients and team members about technical best practices and help teams identify optimal technical solutions.

Essential Experience:

Proficient and fluent in .NET v2-4.6 C#6
Proficient and fluent in HTML5 and CSS
Proficient and fluent in JavaScript and jQuery
Strong MS SQL experience 
Strong demonstrable experience of MVC and Web API
Strong understanding of Nuget
Experience of using Entity Framework to read and manipulate data
Understanding and utilising SOLID design principles
Understanding and utilising Unit Tests to provide automated testing
Experience of integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system
Data migration, transformation, and scripting
Outputting data in different formats
Experience of dependency injection containers e.g. StructureMap
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, specifically Git & TFS
Strong decision making skills and the ability to make recommendations where necessary
Desirable Experience:
Experience of EPiServer 7+
Experience of a CSS pre-processor e.g. SASS or LESS
Understanding of security principles and OWASP recommendations
Scaling an application to support load changes
Degree in Computer Science or related subject
MCSD or other relevant qualifications
Knowledge of Azure services
Knowledge of .NET Core
