VACANCY – Housing Manager Required

Location:         Dudley

Length:            2 months / Ongoing

Hours:             37 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Pay:                 £17.84 Per Hour Via Umbrella

Venn Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer based in Dudley. This opportunity is looking for a candidate who has a strong background with working as a Housing Officer managing tenancy and estates on a day to day basis.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide contact, advice and guidance to customers within the framework of the tenancy agreement in line with policies and procedures and its enforcement.
  • Manage and prioritise own workload to ensure the efficient running of the patch
  • Produce patch performance information for the team manager as requested and contribute to the setting of periodical targets
  • Hold responsibility for the management of tenancies from sign-up to termination including tenancy sign ups, post tenancy checks, home checks and tenancy amendments and pre-termination checks
  • Identify, monitor and take necessary action against breaches of tenancy conditions including anti-social behaviour in accordance with legislation, policy, procedure and guidelines
  • Liaise with service providers to housing management and assist in monitoring service level agreements as required
  • Provide elected members and MPs with information to carry out their democratic and/or governance responsibilities
  • Work closely with customers to provide advice and information about housing services including explaining policies and procedures
  • Ensure that customer enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently, to deal with compliments and complaints and to undertake any investigations and corrective actions as appropriate

Essential experience/requirements:

  • Previous experience in a related role
  • A full UK drivers’ license and access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS
