Job Description

Our client, a leading defence and security organisation, urgently require an experienced Human Factors Engineer to undertake a long-term contract based at their Plymouth offices.

 

In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:

  • Experienced Human Factors Engineer

  • Familiar with all Relevant Good Practice (RGP) across all seven Human Factors domains

  • Able to obtain SC Clearance

 

Within this excellent opportunity, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide specialist support to the developing nuclear safety case

  • Manage various disciplines within the HF arena, including the provision of professional advice on HF assurance and performance

  • Generate associated safety case documentation

  • Provide professional guidance to the Safety Manager and Design Manager on all aspects of HF engineering, including issues relating to both current and future designs

  • Assist in the development and generation of the administrative measures associated with the new facility, and manage and support the production of the associated HF substantiation documentation

  • Provide advice on the development of 'Procedural Controls' and 'Roles and Responsibilities' for the new facility

  • Undertake both quantitative HF analysis, as well as the qualitative substantiation of the human performance aspects of the process/ system
