Interim Category Manager

Based in London

Length: 4 months initially

IR35: Inside

*Must be available for an immediate start*

A local authority in London is looking to recruit an interim Category Manager to provide support to key stakeholders on the delivery of a construction professional service framework and help the Council deliver major projects as part the borough transformation.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Providing support on the efficient and cost effective procurement of externally provided construction services delivered to, and on behalf of, the Council
  • Working with key stakeholders to deliver successful framework agreements
  • Managing the contract award process
  • Overseeing contracts negotiations and the contract management

 

Key skills required:

  • Experience of delivering successful framework agreements
  • Excellent communication skills and preferably knowledge of procuring facility management contracts
  • A can-do attitude, great attention to detail and deadline-oriented
  • Construction category experience is desirable
  • Previous experience within local government would be beneficial but is not essential
