Interim Senior Housing Management Worker

A position has arisen for a Senior Housing Management Worker to work for a Registered Charity in the Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire area. This is a permanent position and you’ll be required to work 37.5 hours a week. You must be able to do the following shifts: 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 1:30pm-9pm and 1 in 3 weekends, working 11:30 -7.30pm

Your duties will include:

  • Oversee the delivery of support services to approximately 12 service users with low to medium needs, including drug and alcohol, mental health and homelessness, living within supported accommodation
  • Ensure the smooth running of the service, overseeing two Support Workers in the provision of support
  • Write and review support plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure rooms have a turnaround of 1 day or less
  • Responsible for new residents application process
  • Deal with issues including rent arrears and Anti-Social Behaviour, to the point of eviction if necessary
  • Act as the primary point of contact for emergency situations and take the lead in resolving issues

Essential requirements:

  • Experience in supporting service users in a housing based capacity
  • Supervisory or management experience, does not need to be while working in housing
  • An enhanced DBS from within the last three years, or the willingness to apply for a new one
  • A UK driving license and access to a car
