Our client, a leading Defence and Security organisation, require an IT Support Engineer to be based onsite with their customer in London. You will be joining a team responsible for supporting systems and associated applications developed for Government bodies. You will be providing support across multiple sites and join the on-call team rota to provide out of hours support.
In order to be successful, it is essential that you have the following experience:
Windows and Linux Server administration
Experience with Database Administration (SQL), Elastic Stack and working knowledge of ITIL are highly advantageous, but not essential
Within this role, you will be responsible for:
Working with the Support Manager, troubleshooting a range of application and system issues and working with the customer to develop solutions
Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support to Service Desk staff and supporting the VMWare infrastructure across multiple sites
Working with the customer’s own Technology Team and systems/applications suppliers to resolve issues
Attending working groups with the customer and supporting the Manager with providing quotes for additional ad-hoc work
