Venn Group’s specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority legal team in Northamptonshire. The assignment is offered for an initial period of 3-6 months with the possibility of extension dependent upon work load.
The successful applicant will possess a thorough knowledge of planning law and will have managed a caseload of matters within Local Government.
Day-to-day duties may include:
- Providing advice on a wide range of planning matters
- Advising and representing clients in negotiations and discussions
- Drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements
- Offering support to other legal departments as and when required
- Attending planning inquiries and Planning Committees
The position offers an hourly rate of £40 - £48 (umbrella/limited) and is offered on a full-time basis although part time applicants may be considered. This position is be offered on an all remote basis initially, but it is likely there will be some level of office presence required down the line.
