Pensions Officer
Location: Southend, Essex
Job Type: Temporary

A NHS Trust is looking for a Pensions Officer to provide effective and excellent pensions data for the trust employees.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assemble timesheets and payroll data for employees
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies, such as recording adjustments to pay
  • Request NHS Pension forecasts and updating Pension’s or complete other changes for pension
  • Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans
  • Communicating with employees and managers on payroll matters with confidence to discuss potential sensitive and complex information
  • To manage payroll information on the in-house system and/or payroll files

Essential requirements:

  • Strong IT skills, with experience of ESR
  • Ability to calculate manual payments and complex pension information
  • Previous NHS Pension experience or knowledge of NHS Payroll and Pension
  • Possess good communications skills, this role will require liaising with staff in other departments
