Venn Group’s specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Planning Locum to join a Local Authority legal team in the South West. The assignment is to start as soon as possible for an initial period of 3 months, on a part time basis.
The successful applicant will have a thorough knowledge of planning law and will have managed their own caseload of matters in a Local Government environment.
The day-to-day duties will include:
Providing advice on a wide range of planning matters and developing income streams
Advising and making recommendations to the senior management team regarding corporate governance and strategic projects to ensure the best possible outcomes for the authority
Drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements
Attending planning inquiries and Planning Committees when required
The position offers an attractive hourly rate of £40-£45 per hour (via an umbrella company).
In the current circumstances, the local authority are now set up for remote working.
