Job Description

Procurement Specialist
Our client, a large NHS organisation based in the South East are seeking an interim Procurement Specialist to join their team.

 Daily duties include:

·         Identifying usage trends and areas for savings using quotes and tenders
·         Supporting the team in enabling efficient processing of all orders
·         Resolving contractual disputes with suppliers, ensuring appropriate contingency and exit plans are agreed where required
·         Analysing and modelling spend categories and processes
·         Using highly developed influencing and negotiating skills to engage with key stakeholders at all levels
·         Negotiating contracts with suppliers to deliver solutions to Trust’s stakeholders
·         Undertaking all procurement activities in accordance with legal (EU legislation and contract law), environmental and sustainability requirements

The successful candidate must have:
·         Experience using P2P systems
·         Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
·         Knowledge of public sector procurement procedures
·         Knowledge of procurement within the NHS (desirable)
