Interim Project Worker - Urgently Required


Our client, a reputable housing association, is urgently looking for an experienced Project Worker to join their team. The role will require someone who has had previous experience working within an sheltered housing in a housing setting and has a positive can-do attitude. 


Position:          Project Worker  

Period:            3 months (Possibility of Extension)

Shifts:              Monday to Friday (Weekend work may be required)

Hours:             35 hours a week

Location:         London

Rate:               £13- £15 per hour

Duties of the role will include:

  • Supporting high complex needs clients such as mental health, domestic abuse, ex-offenders and drug and alcohol abuse  

  • Managing pre-tenancy relationship building with potential clients referred from the outreach team

  • Assisting clients with day-to-day tenancy issues, including payment of rent, claiming benefits

  • Liaise with external agencies as appropriate to ensure the ongoing support needs of clients

  • Working in line with other key agencies, both in statutory and voluntary sectors

  • Ensuring clients have access to relevant external support services

  • To undertake housing management tasks including reception duties, taking rent and ensuring a clean and safe physical environment


Essential requirements:

  • Experience in working with complex need clients

  • Good working awareness of outreach and accommodation projects and services that can help vulnerable people

  • Experience working with vulnerable people providing support, in the field of supported housing and homelessness
