Venn Group is currently working with an excellent publications organisation that is currently looking for a Service Desk Analyst to provide day-to-day technical support to all end users.

Duties will include:

  • Recording all questions, incidents, problems and requests with accurate and complete information
  • Providing accurate and creative solutions to basic user IT requests, from a simple to a moderately complex nature and ensuring continued user productivity
  • Escalating requests to the appropriate individual or next level of tier support based on established guidelines and procedures
  • Setting up and maintaining user accounts
  • Supporting, maintaining and training end users on all AV equipment
  • Setting up conference rooms for meetings that require special computer, phone or video requirements
  • Supporting, maintaining and training end users on mobile handheld devices
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, computer software, printers and other peripherals
  • Assisting in Active Directory issues as well as performing data entry
  • Supporting multiple locations and remote users via remote tools

The successful candidate should have:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Office 365/2016 platforms and experience in a mixed environment (Windows and Mac)
  • 3 years of demonstrated troubleshooting and customer service experience
  • CompTIA A+ (220-901 & 902) certification or equivalent computer hardware certification and experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively listen
  • Knowledge of technical specifications of various IT Equipment and software packages including but not limited to: Computers, Macs, Laptops, Printers, Mobile Devices, Microsoft Office 2016, Office 365, Skype for Business, One Drive, Microsoft Windows 10 and BitLocker
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend shift hours as needed for special projects
  • The ability to stay organized and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment whilst meeting time constraints
