A position has arisen for a driven and personable Support Manager in the Oxfordshire area. This is a permanent position and you’ll be required to work 37.5 hours per week. Applicants must have relevant experience working with people who have learning disabilities and complex needs and have managed multiple sites.

Your duties will include:

  • Overseeing the support to 14 people across three services who have a varied range of support needs, some personal care duties and behaviours that may challenge
  • Managing and motivating team members, including 1 Team Leader to deliver quality services
  • Dealing with performance management and development of people including coaching, regular 1 to 1s and performance reviews
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulatory standards and contractual requirements
  • Making sure aspirations of people supported are being met and that it can be evidenced
  • Building constructive relationships with commissioners, families, carers, staff, neighbours and the wider community

The successful candidate should have:

  • Knowledge and experience of working with learning difficulties or autism
  • Experience of managing a supported living service
  • Staff management experience within a social care setting
  • A willingness to apply for a new DBS and Adult First check on successful placement if you don’t have one on the update service already
