A position has arisen for a Technology Implementation Engineer within a global restaurant company based in Surrey. The successful Engineer will play a pivotal role in helping to define exceptional, optimised experiences for the Restaurant Teams through streamlined operations, integrated back of house systems and best in class POS and payment platforms

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of Aloha POS and Aloha Online
  • Maintain current NCR Advanced Restaurant POS Application and integrations
  • Assist integration digital channels to on premise restaurant platforms
  • Oversee lab testing and deployment of new POS software releases
  • Maintain secure and functional payment technology in line with consumer trends
  • Explore opportunities to streamline restaurant administration such as team member on boarding, food safety checks and asset monitoring in order to deliver a paperless restaurant
  • Investigate opportunities to implement our first cashless restaurant
  • Support the team in developing tools and solutions which remove the need for on site attendance of break/fix engineers through remote management and proactive monitoring.
  • Manage large scale refresh programs of restaurant systems in line with corporate end of life policies
  • Establish and maintain technology standards for the estate through Service Catalogues
  • Work closely with Service Introduction Manager to ensure successful handover of new systems from pilot into full production support
  • Assist in development of improved order touchpoints such as hand held devices, kiosks and drive thru technology

Desirable experience:

  • Experience running back of house retail systems, including knowledge of POS hardware/software, back of house administration platforms, payment digital technology platforms, web and restaurant technology operations
  • A clear understanding of current day restaurant technology platforms
  • Leadership skills, including getting results through others, engaging and empowering others, and working cross functionally
  • Exceptional project management, influencing and communications skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a structured and methodical manner
  • A strong and proven desire to build know-how for yourself and for the organization
