Our partnership with Young Women’s Trust dates back nearly 7 years. In this time we have supported them with their CV writing service, fundraising efforts, and recently by providing employability skills to their patrons.
Building on this relationship that has continued to grow in strength, we were delighted to support Young Women’s Trust in accessing the Big Give match funding from the Tampon Tax Fund. This fund was established to return money generated by VAT on sanitary products to causes which support women, and Young Women’s Trust were pivotal in advocating for this initiative.
When Young Women’s Trust received confirmation they were eligible for the Women & Girls Match Fund, we worked with them to carry over our 2021 fundraising amount so its impact could be doubled. In combination with a charity day held on International Women’s Day, our total fundraising resulted in the matched funds reaching £28,376.
