Congratulations to Bella White on her promotion to Manager of our Midlands Local Government team.
We heard from Bella about her successful career with us.
What first attracted you to a career at Venn Group?
Before Venn Group I worked within hotel management, but I really wanted to join a company where I could build my career and grow the skills I had already gained. My friend worked at Venn Group and it seemed like an exciting and challenging opportunity.
What has been your proudest achievement?
Becoming the Manager of the Midlands Corporate Local Government team, and being a part of a building a successful and ever-expanding team.
What do you enjoy the most about working with the Local Government?
The variety of different roles we work on. It makes work fast paced and challenging. From working on accounting jobs one day to digital transformation the next, the diversity of the roles is exciting.
What key lessons have you learned from those who have managed you?
I have been very privileged to have had such great managers during my time at Venn Group, and I have learnt a lot from them. One key lesson I’ve learnt is the importance of working as a team and utilising individuals’ strengths to the best of their ability.
What has been the biggest change you’ve noticed in your approach since you began recruitment?
My confidence and resilience has been the biggest change in my approach since I began, but with the training and leadership I have had over the years I have seen a significant difference.
What characteristics make the difference between a good recruiter and a great recruiter?
A hard worker that is resilient and keen to contribute to team success.
What would be your ideal Saturday?
Going on a long walk with my dog, followed by a cozy pub.
How do you make sure you continue to learn?
Always being open to ideas and new ways of doing things. Taking advice from others as we can always be improving.
