Congratulations to Nicola Gradon on your promotion to Manager of our London Local Government Public Health, Commissioning & Corporate Services team. We heard from Nicola about her successful career with us.
I’m absolutely delighted to be heading up one of our most successful Local Government teams. It’s an area I feel strongly about in being able to impact delivery and ultimately improve services for residents through effective recruitment and strong relationship management. Over the years, we have become experts in our field and I’m very proud to be leading a team which is always striving to deliver the best customer service in the market.
It’s vital to me that everyone on the team continues to develop and be developed through their careers and reach their individual goals. As a team, I look forward to continued success and growth in our current areas of specialism, as well as entering new ones and carving out long-lasting relationships across Local Authorities in London and the South East.
Our success as a team is directly related to the work, passion, creativity and drive of those that make up LG2. I appreciate all their efforts, support and enthusiasm, on the good days and the harder ones!
This goes for my senior management team too, which I am incredibly proud to be a part of. Rob, Jo and Bobby have taught me not to sweat the small stuff and that time is one of the most valuable things you can give. I look forward to seeing what we can all achieve as a management team over the next few months and years!

“Nicola joined Venn Group in July 2017 and has been a lynch pin of Rob Westbury’s London Local Government unit for nearly 6 years. Working on the Public Health, Commissioning & Corporate Services team, her personal specialisms have included placing interim candidates into public health, commissioning, SEND, performance & intelligence, and finance. Nicola leads from the front and is on track to hit her personal milestones in the next 6 months.
Nicola has always gone above and beyond recruitment for her clients, candidates and colleagues. She is widely known and respected for her relationship building through her empathy and passion for the sector, receiving numerous recommendations and testimonials along the way. Nicola has also been heavily involved in our social value workshops delivered to councils and charity partners, including Young Women’s Trust. She has also served as one of the Diversity and Inclusion Ambassadors within Venn Group and is a regular of the Thursday run club.
