Situation

We made first contact with our candidate through her profile on LinkedIn; her career history demonstrated an extensive experience in quality management within a healthcare setting, an excellent match for the interim Quality Lead role which we were recruiting for a children’s hospice. Our initial conversation made clear that she was looking for a new challenge, and a role within a charitable organisation would allow her to make a positive difference through her work.

Support

We worked together with our candidate to tailor their CV to a role within a new sector, discussing her previous experience and highlighting her work with children and families. As her current role was at a senior level, her contract included several complex clauses for moving to another organisation. We guided her through the process, reviewing the documents and liaising with our client to ensure the timeframes involved would suit all parties.

Solution

Following a successful two-stage interview, our candidate accepted the job offer. We followed up on several occasions with both parties to ensure she embedded well within the new role. With our help, our candidate was able to easily transition into a new sector and navigate the required stipulations; when the current contract is completed, she will be in a secure position to continue work within the charity sector, with the possibility of continuing in her current role on a permanent basis.

“Excellent experience with Venn Group. Nicole Walker was particularly helpful, her expertise and attention to detail helped me to navigate a new and complicated work world. Really appreciated her patience and kindness, a big thank you goes to Nicole.”
