​Combining talent to optimise performance

Sport England is committed to making sport a normal part of life for everyone in England. Their aim to change lives in every community across the UK meant that their website rebrand needed to be engaging, accessible and to share their message clearly. For this 12-week project, two interim content writers were required to reflect their brand and values in copy for this refresh.

Priorities supported:

• Retain two interim content writers with similar core expertise and combined complimentary skills

• Partner with a consultancy who understood the breadth of skills required within a project of this scope

• Clear visibility of the recruitment and selection process, set deadlines and adherence to budget

Experience applied:

• Having successfully partnered with us before, the client placed the roles exclusively in our hands and was confident in our ability to understand and fulfil their requirements

• Created a structured and time lined recruitment process and set evaluation criteria to ensure consistent pre-screening

• Working to the budget, we shortlisted candidates that would provide the strongest combination of complimentary expertise

• Shortlisted eight CVs, of which four were taken to interview

Outcomes achieved:

• Presented our shortlist with a concise precis of each candidate’s rate, key skills and sector experience to enable the client to easily evaluate complimentary partnerships

• Provided comprehensive interview preparation for all our candidates to ensure the client wasted no time supplying information that we could pass on and instead focused on the intricacies of their skills

• The client selected two candidates, however, all were appointable which has now given them options for potential future roles
