Case Study | SEND - Birmingham City Council
Posted on March 2024
Improving the lives of children with special educational needs is a service that demands consistent levels of performance and staffing.
We are privileged to have recruited for Birmingham City Council as they focus on improving and driving the positive impact created by this department.
From 2020 we have supported their commitment to delivering an effective day-to-day operation, suppling invaluable subject-matter experts to support their service transformation.
The solution
Supplying to this area of expertise necessitated a proactive approach in sourcing and cultivating a comprehensive talent pool. This network now contains the diverse range of skilled and specialist candidates needed to deliver an effective SEND service.
We have proved our capability to meet all levels of supply requirements effectively by delivering interim solutions to include Early Years, SEND & Children's Improvement Specialists, SEND Inspection Prep Leads, SEND Consultants, SEND Project Managers/Business Analysts, SEND Caseworkers (Senior also), Team Managers, SEND Risk Assessors, HR and other Project Manager/Operational roles.
The outcome
By ensuring Birmingham City Council had access to the talent needed for their service improvement, we have helped them to navigate their Ofsted inspections and internal restructures. Over our period of supply, we have witnessed the changes made and the impact that transformation experts have had.
The requirements are now focused on permanent recruitment, having refined and formalised their department structure with the use of our interims. We will be alongside to facilitate this transfer and continue to support them in their department objectives.
“Working with Venn Group is always really easy, intuitive and accommodating and understands the needs of my service extremely well.”
