I joined Venn Group in August 2009 after finishing the Legal Practice Course and deciding I didn’t want to become a Solicitor. I chose Venn Group because of the their team ethos and stayed here for so long because of the people who make it a great place to work. The commission structure benefits people that work hard whilst promoting the team element.
After starting on public sector finance, I was one of the team members that helped set up the legal sector for the North. Here, I got the opportunity to build my business and to train new starters, resulting in a promotion to Executive Consultant. The legal team continued to grow to the point where it created a second team and a Manager position for me. Through a great team and hard work, we expanded further to three teams which resulted in creating another two Manager positions and a Senior Manager position for me. I now also have the opportunity to work with a Manager that handles finance and estates & facilities, and work across two of Venn Group’s offices.
My favourite area of recruitment is legal, having done it now for over 10 years. It has a very diverse client base and I enjoy building relationships with both candidates and clients within this area.
My goal is to continue progressing at Venn Group, building more teams and recruiting new Consultants, with the hope of becoming an Associate Director at some point. I am driven by the people I work with and the commission structure, which rewards hard work.
