I joined Venn Group in July 2015 shortly after graduating from University. Having spoken to people already working in recruitment it was clear this was the path I wanted to follow and after interviews with several recruitment companies, I decided that Venn Group was the best fit for me. It was Venn Group's team based environment that was the big selling point, as my happiest achievements in life up until that point, came in team based environments. I have always enjoyed the comradery of working with others, collaborating and sharing ideas and Venn Group offered exactly that.
I joined the Finance and Accounting team in our Leeds office and began picking things up quickly, building a strong presence in the local market and in May 2017 I was promoted to Executive Consultant. The finance and accounting market is very competitive but can be highly rewarding and it’s this that drives me day in and day out. Whether it be providing a client with market advice, or supporting a candidate in securing a new role, I still enjoy the job as much as I did on day one, five years later.
My goals for the future are to continue providing a high level, consultative recruitment service for my clients throughout Yorkshire whilst providing a comfortable and enjoyable life for my daughter. With a bit of hard work and luck, this will hopefully involve another promotion or two.
