Accounting Team Leader

Accounts Team Leader role waiting to be filled

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Accounts Team leader role based in Stockport, Greater Manchester

Hours:   Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm       

The role will predominantly involve:

• Managing a team of 5 accountants and accounts assistants
• Communicating with clients via email and phone call
• Preparing financial statements and tax returns
• Completing evaluations to review performance and processes of the team, to make sure targets are hit
• Managing any queries and ensuring they are dealt with and resolved
•  Provide training to everyone in the team and be the point of contact for other departments
• Build and maintain relationships with clients
• Oversee the end-to-end contractor accounting process, including maintaining the best practices in financial reporting and analysis
• Preparation of statutory year end accounts, PAYE/NI returns and submission of VAT returns

The successful candidate:

• Has 3 years industry experience
• Has a minimum B grade in GCSE Mathematics
• Has experience in using SAGE
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills
