Interim Accounts Payable Assistant Immediately Required
Location: Taunton (Hybrid Remote)
Contract Type: 4 months
Hours: 37.5 hours (Mon-Fri)
Salary: £12.90 per hour via Umbrella

This is a very important role to work within a team providing a high quality, efficient and effective accounts payable service to the company
Responsibilities include:
- Process suppliers’ invoices through a computerised Accounts Payable System in accordance with the Trust’s Standing Financial Instructions
- Process and pay invoices in line with the companies prompt payment policy
- Resolve queries from suppliers and volunteers/service users relating to payments and expense allowances
- Provide assistance and advice as required in respect of order receipting and online invoice approval
- Logging purchase invoices, credit notes and cheque requests onto the financial system
- Processing volunteer expenses, service users and other non-staff related allowances
- Obtain authorisation through the Invoice Approval System and following through queries on any invoices rejected by budget holder
- Recover VAT on eligible contracted out services
- Negotiate and pursue credit notes from suppliers
- Processing manual requests for payment in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis
- Purchase ledger housekeeping as appropriate
Essential Skills:
- Previous Accounts Payable experience
- MS Office (Excel)
Desirable Skills:
- AAT Qualified
