Delivery Manager – Immediately Required
Position: Delivery Manager
Period: 4 months (with possibility of extension)
Hours: Full time
Location: London (1-2 days per week)/Remote
Security: Basic DBS or willingness to attain one
Our client, a renowned media organisation is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join their organisation in a hybrid role. The purpose of the role is to work within multi-disciplinary agile teams to help make a team more effective and is accountable for driving delivery processes of products and services towards outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for driving delivery process of products and service towards outcomes
- Application of the most appropriate agile delivery methodology needed to deliver a successful outcome
- Coaching of teams on agile and lean techniques
- Responsible for maintaining delivery momentum and managing blockers, risks and impediments to progress
- Ensure deliverables are defined against clearly articulated outcomes
- Lead continuous planning practices and ensure work is visible and there is an interactive plan to work towards which is communicated and understood by teams and stakeholders
- Responsible for making sure your team understands their mission, vision and goals and that these align across the organisation
- Understands how and when to include people in communications, agile ceremonies and to make decisions
- Responsible for leading on creating an environment where continuous improvements of teams' working practices can happen, including measuring success, inspecting and adapting
- Actively seek to improve teams’ working practices where necessary
- Support effective supplier and budget management to deliver successful outcomes
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of agile and lean methodologies
- Demonstrable experience in delivering digital products and services
- Previous background in matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in using jira, confluence, miro, dropbox and dropbox paper
