Agricultural Lecturer – Wiltshire
Duration: Permanent
Location: Lackham, Wiltshire
Pay Rate: £25,678-£35,776 plus a Specialist Skills shortage bonus of £3,000 per year, pro rota (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 37 hours a week
An opening has arisen for an Agricultural Lecturer to be based in Wiltshire. Said individual will ensure the responsibilities of the post are carried out in a way that reflects the standards, vision and values of the college.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Contributing to excellent and innovative delivery of the curriculum to promote learning and progression
- Teaching agriculture and countryside subjects to students on a variety of courses across Level 2 and 3
- Developing, planning and delivering quality teaching in response to student needs and undertake marking, support portfolio building and provide feedback to students
- Contribute with active enthusiasm to the wider enrichment of students, including supporting pastoral needs, participating in parents and open evenings, working with the community on live projects and external exhibitions
- Working closely and supportively with colleagues to deliver excellence in teaching and to achieve the best outcomes for students
- Undertake course co-ordination as required to support student achievement and undertake quality related activities as required
- Organise study trips and where relevant, supporting UCAS applications
- Contributing to ensure that the curriculum is relevant and up to date
The successful candidate must:
- Hold an agricultural qualification at Level 3 or above
- Be enthusiastic, motivated and engaged in order to energise students and support them
- Work collaboratively with the immediate and wider team and community
