Associate Director of Procurement (Facilities Management)

If successful, you will play an important role providing the provision of a procurement advisory and support service to the Estates & Facilities Directorate.
Job Profile:
- Lead tenders and other competitive procedures, ensuring good governance and compliance
- Work with senior leadership to develop strategies to deliver successful outcomes
- Provide constructive reviews of specifications and scopes of services for NEC/JCT contracts
- Provide support to Estates and Facilities to ensure contracts are completed correctly
- Responsible for ensuring that records are maintained in an efficient and auditable manner
- Ensure that record keeping is compliant with any legislative/statutory or funding obligations
- Provide commercial advice and guidance to support E&F Project and Contract Managers to support delivery of their contracting activities
- Maintain records on the contract databases and relevant information on the activities
- Provide guidelines and sources of information on contracts and Framework Agreements
- Manage the approval of suppliers on system on behalf of Estates and Facilities
- Maintain awareness of legislation related to procurement and commercial activities
- Maintain familiarity with systems to support procurement activities
Essential Criteria:
- Understanding of construction industry standard forms of contract and working knowledge of RIBA plans of work, JCT and NEC
- Proven experience tendering, request for proposal and contracting procedures
- Knowledge of legislation applicable to the procurement of a wide range of construction and FM Contracts and associated supplies contracts
- Contract and Supplier Relationship Management
- Experience managing staff
- Proficient in using computerised procurement and management information systems
Desirable Criteria:
- Corporate Membership of CIPS
- PCR, 2015 and European Union procurement procedures and Regulations
Annual salary: Grade 8 £61,896 - £73,057, (Inclusive of £4,000 London Weighting Allowance per
annum Rising to £5,000 in January 2024)
Working hours: Full-Time
Location: London, Hybrid working
