Permanent Building Surveying Technician Opportunity
Location: Cambridge
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon – Fri (Hybrid working pattern available)
Salary: £32,348 - £42,155 per annum
Main responsibilities of the role:
Pro-actively plan and prepare for the future Development of the Estate, so as to fully meet priority needs ensuring both financial and environmental sustainability
Manage the design, construction and cost control of the Capital Projects programme procurement with vision and effectiveness
Responsible for the management and development of the Trainee Building Surveyor as well as approximately 10 consultant staff plus a further 50 personnel through construction firms
Deliver new and refurbished assets in existing and often occupied buildings in which to undertake the organisations business as usual activities through proactive design and management
provide regular updates on budget, programme, quality and risk in accordance with ED Procedure Instructions and procedures
Responsible for individual projects up to £250K in value and up to £1M aggregate
Prepare Post Completion Reports with lessons learned for carrying forward to future projects
Ensure adequate records are kept and asset registers updated
Provide guidance and documents for audit
Essential requirements:
To be considered for this role you must hold a minimum of a HNC or Degree in a field related to Building Surveying or equivalent
Experience in both designing and managing building projects
