Business Analyst

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to come on board with a South West Local Authority. Business Analysts understand and analyse user and business needs. They are responsible for all business analysis deliverables on assigned projects, from scoping and requirements elicitation through to operating model definition and implementation within the business.

Location: South West

Set-up: Remote

Rate: Negotiable Inside IR35

Duration: 3 months initially with likely extensions

Business analysts will:

·        Analyse business processes and systems to identify improvements.

·        Work with stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback on services, products, or systems.

·        Use data modelling practices to analyse findings and create data-driven recommendations for operational and strategic improvements.

·        Communicate with internal teams to understand the needs of departments and the organisation.

·        Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.

·        Define business requirements and report them back to stakeholders.

Typical assignments may include:

·        Supporting Business Partners in identifying business needs and assessing requests for change received from Council Teams, Services and Directorates

·        Leading Discovery activities to investigate business problems or opportunities

·        Producing high-quality outputs that express the identified needs and recommended solutions

·        Leading multi-disciplined teams in refining and delivering against identified requirements

·        Measuring and evaluating risks and benefits

Experience and Qualifications

·        Experience working as Business Analyst in a local authority setting

·        Investigates problems and analyses options for new and existing services.

·        Provides recommendations to solutions

·        Identifies key stakeholders, tailoring communication to their needs and works with teams to build relationships whilst also meeting user needs
