We are currently working on a position with one of our highly regarded education organisations, based in Cambridgeshire, to source a Business Manager for the following assignment:

Salary: £42,000

Hours: Full time

Your duties will include:

• To develop relationships with stakeholders, local organisations and businesses to enhance the community engagement offer and understand their needs, including attending events
• Developing and implementing the community engagement strategy, contributing to discussions around programming and integrating community engagement
• Leading on the delivery of the organisations outreach events
• Planning and undertaking sales and promotional activity. The key focus is to build robust customer relationships with key stakeholders and provide excellent customer service and expert support for planned events. The role will also develop relationships with external organisations to secure income generating conferences, meetings and events, in order to meet budgetary and strategic targets
• Monitoring the balance between the organisation and external events, reviewing policies with the Management committee as required
• Identifying ways to develop and improve community engagement

The successful candidate should have:

• Degree level qualification/ Level 6 vocational qualification or equivalent level of practicable experience
• Significant operational and events management experience
• Knowledge of successful planning and delivery of events projects
• High standard of spoken and written English for formal and informal communications with senior staffing and stakeholders
• Demonstrable financial experience including planning and managing a budget, financial control, procurement and contract negotiations
• Ability to communicate effectually, speak confidently and articulately, and write effectively for a range of audiences on a range of issues
