Capital Project Manager

Interim Capital Project Manager Urgently Required

Venn Group is working with a Local Authority to recruit an interim Capital Project Manager to deliver a high profile pan-London capital project, currently in RIBA stage 3.

Required Skills and Experience of the Capital Project Manager:

• Strong project management skills and a background in delivering complex initiatives
• Prince2 project management qualification is preferred, NEC and JCT are also relevant
• Understanding and hands on experience delivering construction and capital projects
• Experience working within a Local Government setting, ideally within a capital programme related to Children’s Services / Special Education
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate a complex and political environment
• Able to manage projects in a VUCA setting (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous)
• Knowledge of capital projects and navigating planning applications

The Capital Project Manager requirement will be for an initial 3 month contract, open to extension, to start as soon as possible. This is a full time requirement (5 days per week) and will require hybrid working with attendance at the office in London once a week and ad hoc site visits.
