Permanent Rehabilitation Co-ordinator Opportunity

A registered charity, who deliver a wide range of services to acquired brain injury clients in the Bedfordshire area, are currently recruiting for a Rehabilitation Co-ordinator to join their small and friendly team on a permanent contract.
Length: Permanent
Location: Bedford
Hours: 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday, 8.30-4.30pm)
Salary: £18,500 - £21,000 per annum, depending on experience
The role involves:

Working with clients, their family members and outside agencies involved in their life

Assisting clients with their physical, cognitive, social and emotional rehabilitation

Planning and running group cognitive sessions

Working with clients during one-to-one sessions and providing effective notes for them

Appraising and updating individual care plans, key working up to 30 clients

Updating database and client folders on a daily basis

Organising and planning activities for enjoyment and enhancement of social skills
The right candidate will have enthusiasm for working collaboratively with other departments and organisations as well as the ability to develop effective working relationships with peers and management across the organisation.
This position would suit an ambitious psychology graduate who is looking to develop their skills and gain some experience within a clinical field.
Essential requirements include:

Educated to degree level and/or extensive brain injury rehabilitation experience

Excellent organisation and planning skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload

Friendly, caring and empathetic nature

An enhanced DBS from within 3 years or willingness to obtain a new one

A full UK Driving License would be desirable
This is an extremely diverse role, which will expect the successful candidate to work on various projects and key areas simultaneously. The chosen candidate will gain a large amount of experience during this role; taking responsibility of their client rehabilitation placement plans and helping them work towards achieving their desired goals.
