Venn Group are delighted to have partnered with a highly regarded public sector organisation to source a diligent, driven and engaging senior procurement professional for an exciting new permanent role.

Location:         Oxfordshire (hybrid working)

Contract:         Permanent

Hours:             37.5 hours p/week

Salary:            £58,000 - £68,500 per annum

The main duties of this role will include:

• Dedicated point of contact for all procurement and supply chain queries associated with the designated category of expenditure, coordinating activities with other members of the team where appropriate
• Maximising value from the supply chain by developing and leading on strategic procurement and category management across the designated corporate expenditure categories
• manage designated expenditure categories across the Trust divisions
• Ensuring contract compliance of all expenditure and pursuing procurement excellence through the development and implementation of efficient and effective procurement projects
• Carrying out appropriate levels of assurance and due diligence across the supply chain to assess any risk, confirm appropriate standards are being maintained, ensure reliability of supply, and ensure legislative and contractual compliance
• Delivering strategic procurement and commercial projects in conjunction with key stakeholders
• Reporting on procurement and commercial activity to the division and for the spend categories via appropriate and relevant ways (dashboards, reports, KPIs, data analysis)
• Ensuring appropriate and effective contract management is in place in conjunction with key stakeholders for all expenditure across the category
• Conducting appropriate procurement process activities (e.g. FTS tendering, quotations, etc.) for allocated products and services

The ideal candidate should have:

• Detailed understanding of PCR 2015 and tendering experience within the public sector
• Proven experience managing complex procurement projects including business case, options appraisal, tender documentation, tender evaluation and contract award processes
• CIPS member (or equivalent experience)
