Venn Group is currently working on a very exciting opportunity with a large NHS Organisation in the South East who are looking for an experienced Change Manager to join their Improving Elective Care Coordination for Patients (IECCP) Programm. See the details of the role below:
Job Title: Change Manager
Duration: 6 months FTC
Rates: £43,000 - £47,000 / Annum
Location: working from home 1 day per week – travelling to the sites in North London 3-4 days per week (travel will be paid)

The Improving Elective Care Coordination for Patients (IECCP) Programme has been established during the pandemic with the commitment to:
- Improve equity of access, reduce unwarranted variation in clinical outcomes and productivity
- Ensure we provide timely care to our patients and reduce the elective backlog
- Keep elective pathways running for as long as possible in the context of managing COVID surge and elective recovery
- Operate in the most efficient way possible and to increase productivity, and follow best practice
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Work closely with the SRO, Clinical Lead, CIO, senior leadership team and project delivery team to ensure that the IECCP programme and project work streams at ICHT are in line with the Trust’s vision and strategic objectives and leads to change that delivers qualitative and quantifiable benefits for staff and patients within the Trust and the ICS.
- Work closely with senior clinicians and managers across the Trust to ensure that members of staff change their work practices in order to successfully utilise the Trust CCS. This will include medical, nursing, allied health professionals, managerial, and admin and clerical staff.
- To develop expert knowledge of the IECCP and Trust CCS, and the work processes required to use it effectively. To analyse existing work processes and to design alternative and effective ways of working with clinical and managerial staff.
- Responsible for Process Redesign for the introduction of the Trust CCS across the hospital. This will include redesign of clinical processes collaborating jointly with clinical staff, including challenging existing work practices and job roles and responsibilities.
- Responsible for the delivery of the change management and benefits realisation required for the IECCP programme for the Trust within programme milestones and within agreed budgets.
- Instigate and maintain professional Change Management standards across the whole of the IECCP programme at the Trust.
Operational responsibilities:
- Support for the development of the Improving Elective Care Coordination for Patients Trust CCS Change Management plans
- Responsible for the implementation of the change management plan for the IECCP programme across the Trust, ensuring the successful delivery of the Trust CCS.
- Liaise with project managers and other transformation leads to map current information flows within each clinical area. Draw up new process maps as part of the preparation of clinical areas for the transition to new ways of working. Document and manage the implementation of new information flows, system processes and business practices.
- Analyse the impact of new processes on clinical areas, benefits realisation, working closely with identified leads in each area. This may include requirements for training, equipment or amendments to current job roles and responsibilities.
- Take the lead on transition management, ensuring that ‘business as usual’ is maintained during the transition to new systems, and that any changes are effectively integrated into the procedures within clinical areas.
- Contribute to an analysis of benefits realisation for the Post Project Review.
- Participate as required in Change Management meetings, workshops and conferences across North London and the wider London Cluster.
- Support the Senior Trust Delivery Manager in the implementation of the Trust CCS in line with Trust vision and objectives
- Act as deputy for Senior Trust Delivery Manager as required
Other responsibilities include:
- Establish and develop the Trust CCS Transformation team for the Programme and ensure that the team collaborate effectively with all other work streams within the programme.
- Provide line management, appraisal and development for the programme team members when required.
- Coach the in-house transformation team in the change management techniques and standards to be adopted by the programme.
- To participate in a combination of knowledge transfer and highly specialised training initiatives to support both personal development and service enhancement.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience driving change within the NHS
- Expert knowledge of change and benefits management methodologies and techniques
- Line Management experience
- Educated to Degree Lever or relevant experience or master’s degree
- Able to present information to the Project or Executive Board as required.
- Able to write detailed documentation to Prince 2 standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to use tact and persuasion.
