Charity Accountant

We are currently working with a corporate trustee organisation to recruit for an exciting new Charity Accountant role

The successful post holder will support the Organisations accounting from budgeting and management accounting to preparing the annual financial statements

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of the statutory accounts for the Organisation, compliant with Charity SORP regulations
• Preparation of monthly forecast information to be fed into the monthly report
•  Preparation of Rent Variation Forms (RVF) for sign off by the Housing Manager
• Presentation of the annual budget
• Overseeing the monthly invoicing to residents
• Assisting with philanthropy programme budgeting and providing reports for grant making programmes across all charities over a five year framework

Person Specification:

• Fully Qualified Finance Professional  ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• experience in an accountancy role from within a Charity, third sector or Housing organisation
• Hands on experience in the preparation of Statutory Accounts, Taxation and VAT accounting
• Excellent knowledge of Charities SORP (FRS 102)
• Proven management and reporting skills
• Experience and understanding of budgetary cost control and reporting
• Strong IT Skills with experience of MRI/Qube (desirable)

Salary: 50-55k per annum

Contract Type: Permanent 

Working Pattern: 1 day per week WFH
