Childcare Solicitor – London – Hybrid Working
Position: Childcare Solicitor
Organisation: London based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months initial contract
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working- one day a week office attendance
Hourly Rate: £50 umbrella per hour
Venn Group’s legal team are working with a London based Local Authority to recruit a Locum Childcare Lawyer.
The ideal candidate for this role will be either a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who can demonstrate having the ability to handle a demanding Childcare caseload and has local government experience.
This role is mainly casework focussed however the willingness to undertake advocacy would be an advantage.
Duties shall include:
- Handing a full caseload of childcare matters and providing legal advice on all aspects of public law children matters
- To negotiate, draft and agree legal documentation and forms, including briefs, claim forms, pleadings, witness statements and affidavits
- To provide guidance, support, and supervision to less experienced staff
- To maintain the high standards of the legal department through compliance with the LEXCEL standard
