Civil and Criminal General Litigation Lawyer – South East England – Competitive Salary (DOE) – In Person Court Attendance
Position: Civil and Criminal General Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: South East based Local Authority
Duration: 3-month ongoing contract
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: Ad Hoc Court Attendance – 1 day per week on average
Hourly Rate: Competitive Salary (DOE)
Venn Group’s legal team are working with a dynamic South East based local authority to assist with their search for a Civil and Criminal General Litigation Lawyer on a locum basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who is seeking to further their litigation career. The ideal candidate for this role will be either an experienced Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx with at least 5 years PQE, who has experience and knowledge of undertaking a full spectrum of Civil and Criminal litigation work.
Duties shall include:
- Responsible for overseeing a caseload covering a full spectrum of Civil and Criminal litigation matters, including Housing, Environmental, Licensing and Council Tax Law
- Deliver High quality legal advice complying with statutory framework and meeting Council obligations
- Attend court on an ad hoc basis
The role of General Litigation Lawyer comes with a competitive hourly rate and gives the right candidate an opportunity to grow their overall litigation legal repertoire. Local Government experience is preferable but not essential provided there is significant relevant Civil and Criminal Litigation law experience.
