Purpose of Job
Ensure business-as-usual (BAU) and daily team tasks are completed accurately, on time, and to expected standards. Escalate issues, report routinely, and update management. Maintain and improve desktop procedures, suggest operational enhancements, and promote a customer-centric culture through value-added service and relationship building.
Background
- Daily processing and administration of risk mitigation and collateral margin requirements.
- Processing of margin calls and monthly interest calculations in line with executed documentation.
- Control of portfolio mark-to-market (MTM), agreement of calls with counterparts, and coordination with Treasury.
- Ensure collateral receipt/delivery is in good order; escalate issues as needed.
- Administer portfolio reconciliations and resolve disputes.
- Support regulatory requirements including collateralisation, reconciliation, and dispute resolution.
- Coordinate with Treasury for funding of margin calls.
- Ensure timely physical payments and resolve reconciliation breaks.
- Engage with support teams to ensure system availability.
- Manage group inboxes and queries efficiently.
- Assist in test planning and execution (UAT), escalating issues and providing updates.
- Collaborate with team to meet objectives and complete ad hoc tasks.
- Understand the role’s contribution to wider team goals.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate completion of margin calls and reconciliations.
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and update desktop procedures.
- Suggest improvements to operational efficiency.
- Support UAT for system upgrades and developments.
- Adhere to internal policies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory obligations.
- Follow compliance procedures and integrate training into daily tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with systems such as COLLINE, ACADIA MARGIN MANAGER, and TRIRESOLVE.
- Understanding of ISDA documentation and CSA Agreements.
- Experience with Global Master Repurchase Agreements (GMRA).
- Knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., EMIR).
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Education: A Level or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and financial data manipulation.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and collaborative.
