Commissioning Manager – Children’s Services

A position has arisen for a Commissioning Manager within a prestigious local authority in the South West.

Location: South West – Hybrid

Duration: 6 months initially

Rate: £449 per day Umbrella

IR35 Status: Inside

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of commissioning plans to deliver the Council's strategic and operational direction for children and young people, with a special focus on SEND and Alternative Education Provision
• Contribute to the joint commissioning agenda to improve delivery and outcomes of commissioned services
• Support the development and implementation of commissioning plans that address sufficiency issues within SEND and Alternative Provision
• Support staff to deliver commissioning objectives
• Produce or contribute to reports on progress against identified objectives

Essential Experience:

• Experience of implementing policies and strategies within local government
• Experience with services legislation and practices within children’s services
• Experience in managing a team in a local authority setting
• Enhanced DBS
