Interim Commissioning Manager
Location: South England, flexible on site
Length: 3 months initially
IR35 Status: Inside
We are supporting a Local Authority to recruit an interim Commissioning Manager who will focus on the commissioning of their Early Intervention and Prevention portfolio to improve commissioning outcomes.
The interim Commissioning Manager role will involve:
- Provide support on the re-design of the preventive and early intervention commissioned services
- Conduct a research based/market mapping exercise on how other Local Authorities are commissioning these services, to ensure best practice
- Look at options appraisals, procurement routes for the market and engage wit engage with a variety of providers to create an evidenced based Commissioning approach
- Work closely with the Voluntary Sector Organisations whoa re currently providing the majority of these services to Adults Social care
Experience and skills required for the interim Commissioning Manager:
- Able to evidence successful project management skills in the context of commissioning, stakeholder management and co-design
- Ideally experience in Commissioning ASC services e.g. day services, information and guidance, carers
- Knowledge of health and social care policies, procedures, legislation and regulations in respect of the relevant client groups
