Interim Communications Officer
Based: London (hybrid working)
Length: 3 months, 2-3 days per week
IR35: Inside IR35
We are currently supporting a Pan London organisation to recruit a part time interim Communications Officer to build a strong brand and clear communications that build confidence amongst stakeholders and increased engagement in London’s ability to improve outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities of the Communications Officer
- Build brand identity and tailor the organisations narrative and engagement approach for different audiences, for use in newsletters, reports, presentations, website content etc
- Lead on the design and management of the organisations external-facing events, focusing on making them high quality and inclusive experiences
- Lead the social media content and ensure planned consistent content
- Use stakeholder mapping and e-marketing tools to accurately target content to audiences
- Lead on Conferences and other events relating to production and promotion – planning the content, liaising with speakers, the team and suppliers and ensuring each event supports the wider organisation and communications objectives
Skills and experience required of the Communications Officer:
- Previous experience of working with the media to ensure positive outcomes
- Hands-on experience and skills in delivering effective campaigns which deliver against key organisational objectives and priorities
- Experience of creating and managing content for websites, newsletters and social media
- Experience of running events and workshops
- Think creatively about how communications and engagement can help deliver an organisation’s goals
