Community and Resettlement Domestic Abuse Practitioner

An established Charity is currently recruiting for a Community and Resettlement Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join their team in Hertfordshire. Applicants must have relevant experience in a specialist service catering to victims of domestic violence.
Length: Fixed term contract until 31/3/2022
Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday
Location: Community based support across Hertfordshire
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist, high quality, safe and effective domestic abuse support to women, men and their children living in the locality
- Assisting with therapeutic recovery and resettlement in to the community
- Ensuring clients have suitable accommodation to move on and re settle into
- Helping clients gain skills and provide emotional support
- Carry out initial needs and risk assessment with the clients
- Manage own case load, planning and delivering support to clients and their children
- Conduct robust risk management plans to support clients to live safely in the community
- Work closely with external agencies, including mental health and substance misuse charities
- Ensure all safeguarding measures are delivered
- Maintained confidential records and detailed handover reports to colleagues
Essential requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS, dated with the last 3 years or willingness to obtain
- Knowledge of domestic violence and safeguarding
- Full UK Driving License and access to your own vehicle for work purposes
